Unable to Speak

Unable to Speak

A Poem by Inda

found myself ready to hold,
letting go.
she called out
and I could hardly breathe,
reached to feel her touch,
trembling.
this was more than an impulse,
or a simple I love you;
it was more than most
and less.
thoughts fluttered,
honestly, why bother
with the prose
and these words?
this mouth is weak, quiet,
 and futile,
unable to speak.

Beautiful job showing versus telling. The language is stunning.

I hope you've got your voice back now! This was full of emotion and showed exactly what happens when "one's breath is taken away". Enjoyed it.

Good luck
