A Poem by Inda

Have your dinner,
chew it well,
have your wine
and don't forget
the bread.
say your prayer,
sing your praises
to the cook
and smile
and laugh
just like
you used to.
god knows
you weren't beaten
you merely
quit.
winter is coming
although you scarcely can tell.
it's still hot and humid
in the bowels of hell.
Jezebels laughing
at the holy site,
brothers fighting,
though there's nothing left
and at best
neither is wrong or right.
