Summer in Miami

Summer in Miami

A Poem by Inda

Forecast calls for 90% humidity.
South Beach is occupied by sweaty
tourist
and obnoxious high schoolers.
There's salt in the air,
sand in my hair,
soccer moms in bikinis
downing virgin daiquiris,
young girls sun-bathing;
old men jogging,
alcohol spilled on the sidewalk
and everyone shouts when they talk.
Summer in Miami, it's quite a sight.
Still, to me it just feels right.

How I would love it to walk there just for a minute... your words, just bring me there. We have the same weather here now, and for us Northern Europeans, it's hot lol... I loved all the details you came up with in this one, I only know this from series I watched, and movies of course... but I can imagine it vividly.

I never liked Miami. Goddamn virgin daiquiris are why. You drink a virgin daiquiri the terrorists win.

Well, you certainly tease the senses with this imagery.. I feel like I have just left the mud of Mississippi and hit the beaches of Miami.. nice job...
