Influenced by Rain

Influenced by Rain

A Poem by Inda

Smiles must be earned,
That's what I've learned.
Kind words are rare these days
And love seldom stays.
Still, rain inspires,
My mind conspires
With the sound of thunder
And so I begin to think and wonder,
What's the point of it all,
Must we stumble and fall?

I love the touch of innocence here, the thoughts of the speaker and his curiosity about the things around him. Well expressed!

Isn't it funny what things in life inspire us, make us wonder, cause us to look inside ourselves and lessons we have learned?

I like this piece; it has a lighthearted tone but a deeper message. Very nice.

Rain keeps sand down so weapons are less prone to jamming. Sorry, It's the first thing I thought of.
