An Easy Mark

An Easy Mark

A Poem by Inda

Wise words never spoken,
Promises broken,
Her summer dress-torn apart.
Cold and bitter,
her fragile heart.
Tears rolling,
Dreams dying
As she lay there in the dark,
by and large
she was considered an easy mark.
