Negative Suggestion

Negative Suggestion

A Poem by Inda

You're wrong,
you're not that strong.
Fact is,
you're weak,
No one listens
when you speak.
Ignorance
becomes you,
Arrogance
too.
Hypocrisy is an old tool,
Used to hide the marks of a fool.
Lies, just a thin vail,
Which often fails.
Failure is your strong suit.
The broken path; the prefered route.

First of all: I consider this, a self-accusation. It may very well be a misinterpretation, as it could just as well be targeting someone else. Anyway!

There is something liberatingly simple and accurate about this poem. It's not veiled and blurred in sauces of metaphors and inpenetrable imagery, but adresses the the reader directly. However, this doesn't make it uninteresting or weak, and the choice of words and its external composition (along with the "succesful" rhymes) make it a powerful experience, especially (still asuming it's internal) if the reader can relate to its content. I could!

It's a f*****g wicked and tenacious dark passenger!! He is resistent to any kind of logic, and a constant threat to a happy life. I really hope i'm right in my assumption :) Anyway,
Thanks for posting! I really enjoyed this.
