Amiss

Amiss

A Poem by Inda

Amiss

Still remember the look on her face,
she asked me to brace
myself.
Still remember the way I felt
when she told me the truth,
said,
"I
am
no longer
in love
with
you".
there was nothing I could do,
far less for me to say.
goodbye and good luck
and she was on her way.
My heart was set on fire,
thrown into the abyss,
I hadn't noticed
anything amiss.
