Shadow Games

Shadow Games

A Poem by Inda

Shadow Games

There’s a dark force that follows

her, no matter where she goes.

Turn the light off! -She screams.

“In darkness it cannot see.”

In the morn I am awakened by the sun;

still, she isn’t sleeping, for the chase has begun.

“The darkness returns once more!”

She locks the door.

Takes a deep breath,

swears the darkness is death.

Still, I find it hard to swallow,

to me it looks like her shadow.

Look out for the crazy ones. Sure they're great in bed then next thing you know she's chasing you around the kitchen table with a butcher knife
