Smile for me,
let me see
happiness on your skin,
how the flesh bends
to create beauty.
-Truly
Speak no lies or half truths.
Remember the scar, but forget
the cut
forged by the blade.
-Some things are meant to fade
Like youth and tears,
life and fears.
I love how powerful this piece is and the overall meaning behind it. It's always delightful to see someone else smile, to see them be happy for some reason or another. I adore seeing other people smile and do what I can in order to make someone happy or smile, even just for a moment. Love this write, keep it up :)
I love the 5 first lines. 'How the flesh bends, to create beauty.' is a great phrase, it's mildly repugnant yet beautiful, because at the end it's all it is, a mere smile.
Lovely phrases in this one, very well crafted poem, Inda.
Inda, you know I am a huge fan of your works and this is no different. This is another excellent write. You'll have everyone smiling by the end of it, haah.
I love fiction that's gritty and honest and so my stuff is often times like that. I don't have as much free time as I'd like, but i will get to the request in time and appreciate anyone who takes the .. more..
