Lefty

Lefty

A Poem by Inda

Lefty

All I need is time,

Time to read and laugh

And dine with friends.

But, there are bills

and jobs

and obligations.

My feet are tired of the same

road beneath them,

day after day.

They long for new ground,

shaky and uncertain.

The right hand

calls for the pen

and lefty for the whiskey.

I like this. It is simple--yet you still manage to tell a lot about the narrator. Well done.

New ground would be a nice change of pace. Excellent read and write.
