Mary's Rum

Mary's Rum

A Poem by Inda

Mary's Rum

The Ocean is in her eyes,

there time flies,

I lose myself,

at her disposal- on her shelf.

Strong like whiskey,

I can see only her beauty;

can she see me?

Am I the reason she cries?

Or am I lost in a sea of lies?

There the rose cries

for her

and the sun shines upon

some

unimportant matter,

the duck pond is empty,

the dream is put down gently

and the madman is on the run.

-She’s back, break out the rum!

It's familiar to me in one of my ways, your poem. The Ocean is in her eyes. Beautiful line. Gives you a perfect picture from the very start. Well done Inda
