Mundane

Mundane

A Poem by Inda

Mundane

James settled in,

He’d been in a string

Of mundane

afternoons.

Every channel was the same,

So were the cartoons.

He played a drinking game

With his shadow

And with every swallow

His desperation grew.

In the air lingered a question,

Though zero indication,

He wondered- does she love me too?
