Lies

Lies

A Poem by Inda

Lies

Hold your hand,

nothing changes.

You understand,

the moment lingers.

You smile: trying not to cry.

No need to ask, I know the reason why.

The knot hardens in my throat.

love is barely afloat.

A light in your eyes,

hope. A horde of lies.

what we see is not always what we get.

nicely done..subtle rhyming almost unnoticeable..

like when that happens...not much a fan of rhyme..and can really knock us over the head sometimes and feel so forced.

Thanks, your words make my day. :)
I hate liars, I despise them. A lie soon becomes the truth to the person who lied, 'cause they convince themselves that what they are saying is true.... It's a terrible habit.

Yep, thanks :)
nothing is a ugly as a lie, except more lies..... when people perpetuate lies for their own agendas, it is evil incarnate and hurtful to others. well penned.
