A Poem by Inda

She wanted independence,

Young girls often do.

Then she met you,

Changed her credence

-What for?

Another life,

The role of mother and wife;

Every night she waits by the door.

so recognizable, we've all encountered moments like that. Short and yet brings a long story behind it. Really great flow

My pleasure.
I can so relate to this. It seems a woman has to give up a lot for love just to be left with nothing in return. A great write.

Thank you!
I like it and it's true. Youth always want independence then they find out "independence" is a bit of an illusion.

Yep, it's all bullshit! Thanks Ricochet.
a woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets and mystery. they are subject to change their minds at any time and for any reason. i mean, what man owns dozens of pairs of shoes? i rest my case. excellent write.
