Now And Then

Now And Then

A Poem by Inda
"

First thing I've written in like a week!

"

Now and Then

Every now and then I read your words, they make me smile.

They also hurt and the heart grows wild.

 I ask the question: why?

Why did you leave, why didn’t I kiss you?

Why do I even care that you’re gone?

You where never mine, nor could you be.

Why does my heart still call for you?

Am I mad, delusional or both?

I don’t know what it is I crave, what do I want?

Still your eyes come into focus

and your smile invites a hug; the feeling grows stronger.

do you feel it too: I wonder.

Such an interesting take on the almost normal journey true love can bring you.
It is very good to wonder yourself al these questions, the answers, you maybe already have, but it takes us to ponder too... and that's what is most good. As Creative Stroke also says: it is very relatable, to others... Love can be or most beautiful, or your most worse enemy.... it is you who decide to be at which point or which side... excellent poem. Yes, that "Now and Then" factor, truly pointed out here... :)

i really love this! you do a wonderful job on a great deal of what you write. it's subjective as well, which gives you plenty of room for the mind to run. Great Job! (:

Powerful and it touched me deep. I cant relate to this subject and have felt these emotions, Great Job loved it. Imagery was ok for me. Thanks for sharing and be blessed.

So, many poeple can relate to this piece. A longing for something you could have had, but now wonder why you didn't try and possess it. Well done Inda!

No problem! ^^
A yearning for that which will never be, tormenting to be that close to the prize but to not be able to win it. Nicely written Inda.

Fell right in! Thanks Ricochet.
Honest portayal of the human condition. Love and yearning = confusion. I thought the questions you posed felt sincere which for me gave this exploratory piece More power. Well done, Inda

Thank you Diego; glad you enjoyed it.
these thoughts often plague the memory as we sit and think about a past crush or look at a photo of someone who we were never settled with losing. i love the gentle and soul searching way in which you encapsulated this emotion. awesome piece!
