Cravings

Cravings

A Poem by Inda

Cravings

Crooked smile; purposeful.

Short skirt,

she’s fresh like dirt.

Attention she craves

like a w***e.

Shows up at my door

-whiskey bottle in hand,

I get it; I understand.

Wry, clever. But this is deeper than that. The speaker can accept the visitor, for whatever imperfection she presents him with, and that he "gets it" that he "understands"; speaks volumes... I respect that. It's not an easy thing to do always. Understand. Not be judgmental... Thought provoking piece, Inda. I liked it.
