Shrewd

Shrewd

A Poem by Inda

Shrewd

Get up old man,

no one’s waiting

for you, but you got a plan

and it’s working.

She thinks you’re cute,

astute.

Smile old man; chuckle even,

you got to earn this; nothing is given.

Lean in for that kiss

-you miss.

She backs off;

you didn’t spend enough.
