On the Run

On the Run

A Poem by Inda

On the Run

There’s something off

about the moon tonight,

the sea is rough

and she’s much too bright.

The victim searches

for the killer;

he doesn’t want to kill her.

She then starts a fight,

the knife

stains the blood; ends her life.

The stars are absent tonight

and the sun is in sight.

The poet says, “I’m done.”

and beauty is on the run.
