The Devil's Speech

The Devil's Speech

A Poem by Inda

The Devil’s Speech

Nostalgia smiles,

a tear forms,

falls

to the ground.

Everyone is quiet,

no one makes a sound

when the devil speaks.

The sail boat squeaks

on the harbor,

desperation grows through the cracks

on the walls.

I really enjoy the way that you ellucidate the idea of silence...when the devil speaks everyone is quiet, silent, and yet that is the loudest sound in terms of emotion. Great imagery, especially the sail boat in the harbor, which gives this a really intensely tenuous feel. Well done!

I can only speak to how this poem made me feel; desolation. Bad decisions. A lost destiny.... A fascinating piece Inda

Thank you Diego, always glad to hear form you.
When he speaks, it become silent..............
You Inda brought this feeling really good over.

It does make me in doubt, if the devil was in a person
on that bar, or pub near to sea that night....
or near to the river... you make me visualize this.

Wonderous.
Keep on amazing me.
