The Color of Us

The Color of Us

A Poem by Inda

The Color of Us

Red and blue,

orange top,

that’s you.

Green eyes say stop,

red lips say go;

I give in, she asks for more!

Walls stained

with passion,

thunder, rain;

pleasure and pain.

The mystery of the initial attraction

is still in the air,

caught up in the youth of your hair,

 the smell of your skin

and the taste of this; the sweetest sin.

the sweetest sin, i love the way you turn a phrase, Inda, you have a natural propensity for doing so and it is delightful to find it in your poetry much of the time. i think this is what separates you from other writers, it is your unique gift. others may do it, but it seems so real and natural for you, effortless. well done!
