A Poem by Inda

Actress

You put on your disguise

and apologize.

But, you don’t mean a word you say.

Hurt me like its part of the day.

Eyes almost teary,

so convincing it’s scary.

Yet, I know it’s all a lie.

The worst is that I’ll never know why.

acting is natural to so many people, i quit asking myself why many years ago. this poem punches that personae right in the face with brutal logic and some wit. nicely done!
