Pink

Pink

A Poem by Inda
"

The corruption of the pink ribbon movement is appalling.

"

Pink

Pink ribbon on her shirt,

trouble followed her since birth.

Tired smile,

near the last mile

She begins to cry.

Another month, another friend dies.

A pink ribbon, a speech of lies;

No causes to speak of, no cure, no questions- why?

A sea of pink

circles the sink;

it’s back again.

-That all too familiar pain.

Dad wears a ribbon for support,

millions invested in false reports.

really insightful. its in-depth with human emotions. very well written. i like that it has an almost ominous feeling of sadness or deceit, you captured it well.

Your welcome.
I really should listen to the news more often. I have no clue what the hell is going on out there. Next thing you know, the leader of the most powerful nation on earth will try to ban our guns...

Good write, Inda; thanks for shedding some light.
