Rumors

Sure, so sure of himself that rich man swore

the sky looked upon him maliciously.

and the rumors

spread like fire through this small town where there’s no privacy.

The deaf laughed when they heard the tale and the poor miserable b*****d wasted his time,

Trying to find

a rose underneath the sea.

The insomniac suffering fool awoke from his sleep

and the king rose to take responsibility.
