Soldier's Regret

Soldier's Regret

A Poem by Inda

Soldier’s Regret

Such a distance

I keep.

Such existence

 and nights that grants me no sleep.

Unruly thoughts

of battles fought

some won and some lost;

all the lives it cost.

Weary eyes,

faces

covered by hands,

corpses buried in sand.
