Meeting Joyce

Meeting Joyce

A Poem by Inda
"

Something simple.

"

Meeting Joyce

With bloodshot eyes

she said,

"Hello

my name is Joyce,

What’s yours?"

I lied and said,

"Mine’s Billy.",

She heard a crackle in my voice,

 smiled and said,

“I’m tired Billy.”

I said,

“You’re also pretty.”

And she laughed.
