The Music Stops

The Music Stops

A Poem by Inda

The Music Stops

Hear the strumming of guitars

and the voice of the singer as he pours his

Heart and soul into the melody.

Hear him sing and hear him shout and scream.

Hear the gunshots and see the blood

Splatter the wall and the bullets ricochet.

Everything becomes blurry and you’re dizzy.

You see nothing, all is black.

Then you come back,

You hear the medic call out your name

And the music stops.

Perhaps the poet is the singer and the injured party? Well done.
