Criticize

Criticize

A Poem by Inda
"

Why some of us write sometimes.

"

Criticize

The blank page mocks me as it demands, it doesn’t beg.

I must go forth and create, create words to move the souls of others.

Others will read and judge every word, others who don’t move their a*s.

An a*s will judge this; high on his undeserving throne he will declare this all to be bull.

A comma here, a punctuation mark there,

Errors a child would commit. Errors one mustn’t make and submit.

The red pen will remove all of those words which he does not approve.

The soul that once filled the page is now hidden in a cage.

Yet I always give in to the page that mocks my sin.

I create words of lust and scenarios I must

Create out of sheer will. Though condemned is my soul I continue still.

For God’s powers are in vain once mankind fears no pain.

Yes. we write because we must. We have no more choice. That is what
I take from this poem. Keep expressing.

Yep, we must and we do! Thanks for reading it.
When I read , I felt the flow in my tongue. ( so well done for that )
This poem gives a very unique observation with lovely details of criticism . I also like the fact that you attribute a soul function to the page, giving it a purpose and a meaning more over it's obvious reason.

Thanks I was worried it was a bit wordy, but glad you liked it.

Don't think you should worry anytime you write a poem. There are no rules , in my opinion ..
I think it's "sheer" not "cheer." ;)
I like it! You mixed a profound notion with more crude words, which created an interesting style.
Nice job.
