Purple

Purple

A Poem by Inda
"

Movement

"

Purple

Purple lips,

they quiver.

Cold as the mouth of a river.

Waiting for the warmth of love,

Or at least hope from above.

Purple skin,

Forbidden like sin.

Purple eyes,

how they glimmer.

Purple love,

 this purple fever

Moves me left and right.

Wakes me in the middle of the night.

Shakes me

Back and forth.

Throws me for a loop.

 leaves me black

 and blue.

And as I heal I turn

Purple.

I really liked the imagery in this poem: that you used purple as a sign of bruising or of lacking air (air representing love?) or of lacking warmth (love again?) - I could be wrong about most of those haha. I also just enjoyed the repetition of the word "purple".
Anyway, keep up the good work! :)

I really like this piece! It might be my favorite work of yours that I've read.
You really stretched the color purple to describe more than the obvious, which was nice!
You also had some really creative diction, which made the piece a joy to read.
Thanks for sharing!
