Stages of Grief senryuA Poem by inconsistentseaThis is a group of senryu poems, each representing one of the extended stages of grief.I - shock Hands blocks my face as my mouth hangs open. I cannot breathe anymore.
II - denial I must have misread something? I said something wrong? Is this happening?
III - anger Unbelievable. I should have known. You two deserve each other.
IV - bargaining Am I not worthy? Am I not better? Am I anything to you?
V - depression An unsatisfying ending. Immutable. Just like a bad book.
VI - testing Perhaps if I just... Maybe if I were more... It is time to move on.
VII - acceptance I can now look at beauty in all its forms and not be torn apart.
