it makes me ache
deep in my bones

when you touch her
do you think of me

i am left hollow
you have carved me out completely

taken everything
all the good, all the ugly

i am left an empty shell
missing what ive never had

such a sad line, full of regret and sorrow but also, I think, a sense of acceptance, however small.
