A Poem by inciteful

our first encounter, it wasnt grand
fumbling conversation
averted eyes
stolen glances
flushed cheeks and silences

our second encounter was when we touched
you rubbed your thumb in the palm of my hand
you read my lines, and understood
the meaning of my life, more than i ever had
your eyes spoke to me while your lips were still

in our season, in our time
we loved like no others
we sought out our truths
burning through the night
finding glory in our days

our final encounter was brief
hollow goodbyes
no thoughts of the dissolution of our dream
just a few stolen memories now forever shared
between only you and i

Well done....and so sad. It's weird : love...and it's ability to stay with us and flee from us at the same time. Looking back on every relationship I have ever had, they're just like this. Meeting and being unsure and a little nervous of what the other person thinks of you, slowly growing in to a comfortable situation where every little act is a new reason for why that person is perfect for you, going straight into love making -- hours spent in bed and ignoring the phone. Needing only to look into their eyes and be forever lost in what you have only seen in movies. And then the end..where they become nothing more than just another MySpace friend, or a phone number in your cell that you skip over without ever thinking twice about. Well written, dear. Loved it.
