The rise and fall of mankind

The rise and fall of mankind

A Poem by incensesmoke

Protruding like mushrooms

from deciduous basins

covered in ferns and mist

the day seemed perfect.

Emerging from primordial nothing

reaching deep stretching high

his future seemed to glow

on silhouetted wings.

Enthroned in didactic pillar of fire

just ahead of barbaric centuries choked in

chariot wheel dust, he rose above

her curvature.

Centuries later,

under the serene bluish light

of quarantine safety, his arousal

was studied carefully.

At Bayside hospital and Beijing friendship hospital,

women gave birth to healthy baby girls,

In memory of mankind.

Yes. Good. You've told an awsome story here in very poetical imagery.
