Everywhere that Mary went the lamb was sure to go.

Everywhere that Mary went the lamb was sure to go.

A Poem by Roxanne Aponte

I want to be a child for you
I want to go to your school
And look away when I catch you
staring at me - in a short skirt
my legs long and fuzzed
Like the skin of a ripe
peach

This poem is so charmingly provocative, disarmingly luscious.

It has the spirit of an extended haiku, and the soul of a more sincere Lolita.

It is a deceptively simple artfulness to manage to touch the heart of love and desire so delicately.

Fine work. One wonders what school serves your whole needs most auspiciously.

I've been writing since I was a child: stories, poetry, much of it personal as I've been an avid journal writer for many years. I write mainly for the cathartic release. My love of words is a passion .. more..
