Beauteous Night

Beauteous Night

A Poem by Evita

The night sky was not quite black
especially in the light of moon
the ghostly glow of the orb
had lent the sky some blue

I shivered from the autumn chill
and breathed the crisp air deep
there was no sound, all was still
the world had fell to sleep

The clouds danced to and fro
like the waves shift in the sea
it seemed as though the moon
were playing peek-a-boo with me

For a time to disappear
as though it never came
and just as soon reappear
to warm the darkness tame

Serenity, it's luminous face
cratered with the mark of time
wisdom in each darkened spot
tranquility with each shine

The heavens and the earth now
were just one blissful sea
and I fell right into them
so they set me free...
