a tree house in maine

a tree house in maine

A Poem by Christine

you

never

had

one

in your backyard

in massachusetts

so when

you're

driving down

the back roads of maine,

pull over

at a tree house.

make yourself at home.

wait for the family inside

to neglect their children

and bring you a dinner plate

eat

another

family's food

if it means

you're not eating

with your own

make

sure

you

over

stay

you're welcome
