Conspiracy Theories

Conspiracy Theories

A Poem by Christine

He wore a blazer with jeans and loafers

(no socks)

He ordered the chips and salsa

(no apple)

He sipped a beer at high noon

(he must be a professor)

He acts like he's reading a student's paper

(He’s tearing it to pieces in his head)

He thinks fleetingly about killing

the student who wrote it

(himself)

He sips beer in cafes

He f***s his wife and sleeps with the s****y ones after hours

Great piece of work and very deep! Great work!

I've read this a few times, and I always wind up asking myself this same questions, like where'd you write it, and why no apple? why apple?

it's a good piece, I think, and hits like a bright cold dumb day. I like the way you use parenthesis and lines in your stuff. opens up new systems for communicating ideas. smart.

anyway, weird piece. I hit the brakes on it every time.

I like the back and forth you have by placing phrases or words in parentheses and strike outs, it's interesting. Great work. x
