As One

As One

A Poem by impuls
"

some friendships are beyond description

"

Two souls intertwined
so clearly they are one
Two halves of a whole
Two parts of only one

Falling down a rocky chasm,
Tumbling off the ledge
Across the breach fingers touch
Palm to palm they slam together
Hand to hand they meet

Half and half, a whole together
And together they are saved

Climbing up a mountain top
One slips and tumbles down
Hand on hand fingers clasp
Palm on palm they grasp

One as two, but two together
And together they are saved

In valley or ocean deep
On plains or in the desert
Together they are found
One falters, stops, fails or falls
Palm to palm they meet each other
Hand in hand they're saved together

In step they match
They march together
Two hearts which beat as one.
