EntwineA Poem by It's Only MeI fall from
the place I held above, Reaching,
grasping for your love I wish you’d
notice, but you do not see That my
heart beats faster for only thee
The ground
below is hard and cold And like an
introvert, I begin to fold I wish you’d
come and hold me near For you, I’d
wait forever dear
You nonchalantly
walk past my body Chasing
another, one much more gaudy I wish you’d
see my brokenness And realize
she isn't worth all of this
Your gaze
drops as she moves on quick Your eyes
ignite like a candle wick I wish I
could go and comfort you But it’s my
love, you see right through
We tear out
our hearts in unison I watch mine
bleed like some bad sin I wish you’d
come and rescue me Your
adoration would be the perfect key
Our corpses
are nothing but earth now, And I find
it amazing exactly how The blood
from our very souls entwine Oh, how I
wish I could call you mine. © 2012 It's Only MeFeatured Review
