Running Away

Running Away

A Poem by Mononoke

running away
can you hear the rain
calling you
if you only listened to them
to the gentle whispers in the breeze
you could know the happiness
that we all wish to have in our hands
running away
can you ever hope to know
what a home is?
keep it close to you
this fragile heart
keep on running
until you can find what you need
running away
from all the disgrace
of that day
I will always love you
so you don't need to fear me
if we can stay together
and then we can know
the happiness
that we had wanted so much
together
running away
is something that you don't need to do any more
because I'm right here by your side
until we find
the happiness we had been searching for

I love it! I like that not every line is capitalised. It makes the poem feel softer to me.
