gosh! I cannot believe you said so very much with so very few words! That mind of yours....I am so impressed! You put into words thoughts I have had for so very long! What is it about we humans that we refuse to appreciate those "moments" when we are in them, instead we try to recapture a smell a sound a feeling, when a loved one has passed or when we have experienced something to make us try to relive our past?

You sound very much like the romantic poets; Wordsworth, for example. Their philosophy was that writing good poetry took a great deal of time and thought looking back on past events and emotion. This is a beautiful idea conveyed with words revealing you as a skilled craftsman.
