Affair

Affair

A Poem by Jennifer Neuman

This strain on my heart
I felt from the start
As soon as I knew
She existed too
But I plow on in fear
Of losing my dear
As I'm way too weak
To try and seek
A life without you
Afraid of what you would do
And so with you I stay
To her unknown dismay

I thing this poem says it all about what an affair would be. I just watched Regarding Henry last night and it even proved that after one has forgiven there are still doubts. Good job on the poem.

I imagine this is how it would feel to be cheated on by the one you love, trust and admire, hmm? Good job with this one, catching the words and the emotion and being able to write it down.
