Daddy Dear

Daddy Dear

A Poem by Jennifer Neuman

Daddy dear

You scare me

I fear

Your disapointment is clear

I try my hardest to please

Daddy dear

I'm sorry

I try to be perfect

It isn't enough

Daddy dear

You yell

Do you think it doesn't affect me?

Bet you don't know that at night

I cry

Daddy dear

You hurt

With your words

And they sting

I just want you to be proud

Daddy dear

I try my hardest to please

It isn't enough

I cry

I just want you to be proud

Very sad, but for some children very true. I enjoyed this one, and it shows how much the girl wishes to please her father. Good job.
