Freedom of Speech

Freedom of Speech

A Story by Im His Daughter

just popped into my head a reminder of Sundays Sermon.... with my take on it.

Freedom of Speech. How free is freedom of speech, when the words spoken damage or build up the ones receiving it? Hmmmm, That's the question. Especially when the words spoken either hold the person in bondage or allow them the ability to move freely. Words either infect or affect. Words spoken are spoken into little containers which are then received to whomever. They take the box open it and pour it into their heart. If the words are spoken in anger then they have just been infected by someone else. The anger the person felt and spoke out has now entered someone elses heart and they become angry and the words start to churn and bubble in them until they explode. When they explode anyone else around them has now received the box and poured it into their hearts and so on. If words are spoken in love then the box is passed onto whomever else is around and they pour it into their heart and are affected by it. Feeling the love, tenderness and then they respond and send that box to others which then get poured into their heart. All of ones thoughts, feelings, emotions, trials, triumphs are felt in the words. Maybe the question should be, How are we going to talk to others from now on? Words are like a tube of toothpaste. The toothpaste is held in a container, once squeezed whatever the words are we can never put them back in the container they came in. Freedom of Speech. Is it freedom, if you are always held in bondage whether good or bad? Hmmmm, Maybe that's the question. I think there is freedom as long as the words are spoken in love and not anger. Your tongue is the ready writer of your heart. Proverbs 18:20-21; With the fruit of a man's mouth his stomach will be satisfied; He will be satisfied with the product of his lips. Death and Life are in the power of ones tongue. And those who love it will eat its fruit. Whatever is spoken in anger, kills you. Whatever is spoken in love, gives life to you. Find the freedom in that Love Life be Free to Speak.
