Let's go on a trip!

I wrote this for my son, laying on his bed upside down feet on the bottom of his top bunk, he leaned his legs on my legs. I looked at him and said Let's go on a trip!

 

 

Let's go on a trip! Where would you like to go?

To Grandmas house, in a airplane... oh no!

I know, lets go on a boat!

All we need is a boat to go in.

Do you have a boat?

I don't but i could probably imagine one. Can you imagine one?

I know let's climb aboard my boat, it looks like a tub.

Are you in?

Where would you like to go?

In the ocean, great idea.

Are we pirates or are we a crew of sailors?

We are pirates! Cool, let's go look for treasure.

Look! There is land ahead matie.

Alright maties arrgh! Let's go look for gold!

Hey! What's that? Look! It's a map. It's a treasure map!

It says take 10 steps forward. Okay! Everybody take 10 steps forward

1. 2.. 3... 4.... 5..... 6...... 7....... 8........ 9.........10!

Turn left and take 7 steps. Okay here we go!

1. 2.. 3... 4.... 5.....6......7!

Next it says to hop in a circle 1 time.

Ok matie here we go! HOP! HOP! HOP! HOP!

Now it says take 3 steps to the right. Ready?

Here we go! 1. 2.. 3!

X marks the spot, under the tree right ahead. Do you see it? I do!

TREASURE!, We found it. Should we open it?

Okay here we go!

CRACK! BOOM! BANG!

WOW! Look at all the GOLD! We're rich! We're Rich!

Quick let's put it on the boat and sail home.

Arrgh! Maties we are home at last. Let's unload the treasure!

OOOMPH! We did it.

What are we going to do with all the gold? Hmmmm.

We will have to go another trip sometime and find out!

I like this! This is the kind of thing that parents can do with their kids while they're still young---before the kids are too old---or else wish they had used their imaginations to play with their kids more often while they were young! Good bathtub-boat idea! I'll do this with my 1 and 4-year-olds! . . . and take pictures! The more silly, the more fun! Thanks for the fun story!
