I wrote this story for my kids. The ages of the children in the story were not the ages of my kids when i wrote it. I believe my kids were 7 & 5. My daughter is 15 & my son is 14 now.

One day in the early spring. A liile girl whose name is Amelia, was sitting on her swing in the backyard. She had just moved into her new home. Her mom was a teacher and her dad was a doctor.

Amelia and her baby brother Hayden were outside playing while their mommy and daddy were helping the movers, move their furniture in the house. The family that used to live here had left a swingset in the backyard, for Amelia and Hayden to play on.

Amelia was sad sitting on her swing. She had nobody to play with. She felt she had no friends, because she had to leave her old friends behind. So she thought she was unpopular.

Sure she had her brother toplay with but he was only two years old. Amelia was five, and missed her friends.

While Amelia was swinging a little girl who was the same age as Amelia came over, and asked if she could play. Amelia ran to ask her mommy. Her mommy said she could play nicely in the backyard. Amelia asked the little girl what her name was. The little girl replied Katey.

The girls had fun playing on the swings, running around and looking for bugs. All of a sudden there was a voice coming from the gate. Another girl showed up and she came over to play with Amelia too. She said her name was Laura, and ran over to play with Katey and Amelia.

The three girls were laughing and playing together when Amelia stopped and realized that she was no longer the unpopular girl. She was now the unpopular popular girl.
