Carousel Of Life

Life is like a carousel

You go through life

being taken on a ride

that you think is going to be

the most amazing ride of your life

It takes you through ups & downs

playing the music of the day

a song of sadness, joy, or sheer elation

depending on what the artist created

You go through life spinning,

sometimes falling off

sometimes going so slow

sometimes to fast

sometimes wishing you can get off

because you are sick of going in the same direction

Life is like a carousel

It takes you backwards a few turns

until you realize you need to stop,

get on the right track to restart all over again

Although

you spin

you're up

you're down

you have the most beautiful heart

or the ugliest soul

the master conductor wants you to remain seated

because around every turn

he has something else for you to see,

he wants you to have the time of your life,

he wants you to feel the breeze in your hair,

he wants to see the smile on your face,

he wants to hear you laugh,

he wants to watch you experience life

he wants you to ask for more
