Alone

Alone

A Poem by Im His Daughter

Alone

Listening to music on my computer

Ostracized to some corner booth, by reality

Numb as I sit here drinking coffee

Entertaining a thought of one day not being alone

Thank You... loneliness is something I struggle with on a daily basis. I may run a day home with children everyday but having someone over 3 ft tall to speak to, laugh with, go out with, hug, just isn't in my life right now.

The state of alone-ness is a paradox to me because we really are all alone within ourselves. so all I can say is I really edentify with this poem. You took a human reality and did something with it. Beautifully done!

Your words are freely but purely placed, are brief but meaningful. Most of all. however, they're sad.. so sad. Reality can be either a freedom or cage, guess one has to decide which side of the coin you see or which you want to see. Your Bio explains more than the average: explains the How--has-gone.. .. the What-will-be will surely be governed by the Lord's gentle hand.
