My best friend

My best friend

A Poem by Im His Daughter

My best friend is beautiful,
I have known her since she was a tot.
We lived behind each other
just a skip, jump & hop.

Everyday we saw each other,
walked hand in hand to our classes.
Never a day would go bye,
never day would pass us.

We played in her bedroom &
up in her tree.
We played in my backyard,
like peas in a pod we'd be.

We took turns having sleepovers.
Back & forth we went.
Sometimes in her living room &
sometimes in my tent.

My best friends name is Shannon Rae,
I am Cheryl Ann.
God had the best idea in the world,
a forever friendship was his plan.

He knew it would last forever
he is very clever man.
He knew we would make mud pies,
in the lid of my mother's frying pans.

We did all sorts of crazy things,
I put lipstick on our faces.
She chewed gum daily by the packs
that almost ruined her braces.

We had popcorn parties at my house,
we went on vacations.
We hung out at Bonnies' cafe &
at my dad's gas station.

We both had the chicken pox,
at the same time.
She had it only once but
I got it a second time.

She was my maid of honor,
that marriage didn't last.
He was abusive &
had soon become my past.

I was her maid of honor,
a marriage definately to last.
We both had children
who are growing way to darn fast.

My best friend lives far away,
each other we don't get to see,
but one day soon I hope to see a special someone
that means the world to me.

We both have kids as I have said.
I have 2 & she has 1.
We've both lost our Fathers,
our lives briefly came undone.

We don't talk to each other
every single day,
but we do think of each other
in some form, shape or way.

I love my best friend to pieces,
that will never change,
one day soon I will see her,
a trip I will arrange.

I love you to the moon & back,
to heaven & beyond,
you will always be my most best friend,
forever an infinite & unbreakable bond.

Shannon Rae Wilke now Maliteare
my gf & bf4e,
You are my sunshine, my smile,
you are awesome as can be.

You deserve the very best
of everything pleasing & good,
May your future be a blessing
as it always should.
