Chapter 1 ~Father?~A Chapter by MasakingKazuto went into his father’s office. His father’s room still smelled like him. He sat in his father’s chair and saw a white notebook resting on his father’s desk. It was meant to be a gift for Kazuto from his father. He picked it up and saw his name was on the cover. Flipping through the pages, Kazuto saw that there were his father’s hand writings of his journey to find the Golden Bird. He looked at the ceiling and said, “Father, where in the world are you right now?” He read the first page of the white notebook, it said, “This is a dream come true! The notebook from your grandpa opens the spirit gate! I’m so exciting to go to the Golden city just like your grandpa long time ago when he was in my age. Haha, Kazuto when you are old enough I will bring…” he flipped to the last pages and read. “... Kazuto, big problem… I wish I could fulfill my dream but… for some reason this place isn’t the same when your grandpa discovered-” that was the last thing that his father wrote. There was some dry blood on the last pages. Kazuto was so shocked that he slapped his forehead and he checked the date, it was five years ago. His eyes widened and he slammed his head down on the desk. “Why didn’t I notice it before? D****t!” Then, Kazuto heard a long and sad howl. Raising his head up, Kazuto gasped, “Father?” as he stared through a window next to him. He then stared down to his feet. “No, it can’t be or…” Or… he transformed into a wolf, he thought, eyes on the forest, staring. He stood up as he hit the desk with his palms and made a promise to himself and his father. “Father, I’m going to fulfill your dream and make it come true!” he screamed as he threw his fist above his head, smiling as his tears fell down to his chin.
