Old Floral ShoesA Poem by imaxelaIt's about a child without knowing that her father was murdered. Her mother tried to make excuses about her father's sudden disappearance but as time passed by, she has to know the truth.
When I was a kid, dad sent me new pair of shoes
It was nice, it was white, it has fellow and blue Orange and green were also dancing there too Oh how beautiful! My new pair of floral shoes But it was big, too big for both my tiny foot But momma told me not to be in a sad mood; Promised me I could wear it anytime soon So we hid it inside a box and moved on Years after years, after years, I nearly forgot; The only box that gives me the last glimpse of my pops Almost forgot about the pretty floral shoes, That was inside the box found in the cabin blues I looked for it and found it: seek it all too well; Took it and wore it but no one can tell I would wear it at nigh, I would wear it at day I would even wear it till the end of May When the white turned brown and pretty colors worn out, It's not nice; stopped being something I knew about But I never stopped loving it, never did I loose For memories bound to it had left me no clues.
